90 minutes | Serves four

Our meatloaf recipe is a timeless classic, packed with rich flavors and wholesome goodness. Made with Ranchlands Ground Beef and a carefully balanced blend of seasonings, it's the perfect comfort food for any occasion.

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 ½ yellow onion, diced
  • 12 garlic cloves, diced
  • 4 celery stalks, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • 2 teaspoons rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 slices of sourdough, torn into bread crumbs
  • 1 can whole peeled tomatoes
  • 8 ounce can of tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 365 degrees. Mix the ground beef, vegetables, spices, eggs, and breadcrumbs together in a large bowl. Place the mixture in the pan and bake for 40 minutes.

To make the sauce, combine the tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire, apple cider vinegar, and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil then simmer for 30 minutes. Using an immersion blender, puree the sauce until silky smooth.

Spread the sauce over the meat loaf then return to the oven to bake for another 20 minutes. Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing.
