Stay in safari-style canvas tents along the creek. Your first full day includes a ride across ranch country to get comfortable with your horse.

Day 3

Into the Mountains

An early departure with the pack horses begins the climb up Paintrock Canyon to Mountain Camp, at the foot of Cloud Peak.

Day 4-6

Explore the High Country

Home base is simple but comfortable, with canvas backpacking tents, a campfire circle, and chef-prepared meals. Spend the days riding to high mountain lakes and streams, hiking along hidden trails, visiting Ranchlands’ cow camp with the ranch team, and swimming and fishing in clear mountain water.

Day 7

Return & Farewell

Ride back down into the canyon and finish with a farewell dinner at the historic Paintrock Inn.
