Paintrock Canyon Ranch

August 2 - 7, 2026

Join us for a five-night somatic experience alongside Kelly Dukarski at the Paintrock Canyon Ranch in Wyoming.

The Program

This five-day immersive retreat explores the somatic experience of Equine Gestalt — a practice that honors the intuitive presences of horses to help us notice what’s happening within ourselves and reconnect to a deeper sense of clarity and groundedness. Horses are the intuitive guides that mirror back to us what we most need in our lives while asking us to be fully present to the world around us. By remembering our relationship with land and horses we begin to move in sync with the natural world. We become centered in our bodies and trust our intuition and resourcefulness.

Over the course of the week, you’ll experience Equine Gestalt through partnered sessions with horses, reflective and grounding practices in the presence of free-roaming horses, techniques of nervous system regulation, and earth based rituals to deepen your connection to land and nature. You’ll also practice embodied horsemanship both in the saddle and at liberty and share in a collective experience that will inspire you long after you’ve returned home.

Leave with skills and insights you can weave into everyday life, as well as a renewed, lasting connection to the rhythm of nature and the wisdom of horses.

About Kelly Dukarski

Kelly is a lifelong horsewoman with more than three decades of experience in natural horsemanship. As an equine-gestalt practitioner, she works at the intersection of horses and somatic awareness, helping people learn to pay closer attention to what they feel and how they move through the world. Her work is rooted in the belief that the horse–human connection is a powerful place for healing and growth.

In addition to her work with horses, Kelly is trained in herbalism and horticulture, giving her a deep understanding of how the natural world can support wellbeing. She lives on a 300-year-old farm along the New England coast, where she practices equine-gestalt with her herd of horses and clients. When she’s not at home on the farm, she leads workshops and retreats across the American West.

Paintrock Canyon Ranch

The Paintrock Canyon Ranch sprawls across northern Wyoming and is made up of rolling meadows and streams carving through high alpine valleys. The ranch’s landscape is characterized by the Paintrock Canyon, which starts at the ranch headquarters and meanders for 8 miles, opening into the Paintrock Basin at foot of Cloud Peak, the highest peak in the Bighorn range. The Canyon itself is shaped by steep limestone slopes that climb thousands of feet high above the trail. Red sandstone cliffs, whose color transforms from deep orange to burgundy red with the changing light, rise above the meadows surrounding the ranch’s headquarters. The ranch is located 1.5 hours from Cody, WY, and 3 hours from Billings, MT where the largest commercial airports are. Shuttles through a third party are bookable to the ranch from Cody. Car rentals are also available from both airports.
